This hitch we spent our time lopping willows. These willows will be used to provide stability to river banks in the fight against erosion. Some of the willows will also be used in beaver dam restoration projects. Our team plus another MCC crew collected a total of over 18,000 willows branches! It was a great way to end the season. The Bondurant area is beautiful and we got a sneak peak of winter, before one last wave of summer hit. A good feeling came over us at the end of everyday knowing that our work was directly impacting the environment around us in a positive way.
