Christmas In June

A trail cut through the woods

Ralph Thayer's Memorial Trail in Whitefish, Montana, hasn't been active since the 1950s. It has been a joy to be a part of helping reopen it. We brush-sawed so much Manzanita and helped define the footprint of the tread. A snowstorm came and visited us on a day of work, forcing us to leave behind the worksite and 6+ inches of snow. Despite the blizzard, we came back and kept working on finishing the project. Proud of my crew and proud of all the work we accomplished!
