Pokey Sticks

I believe it was May when I submitted my application to MCC. When the time came to leave home, I was excited. Initially, I was let down by the first day. The car ride was silent, aside from the sound of questionable music ( Lunch Meat - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard) being played. We also had a flat tire the first day! That night, I slept with sticks poking my back, and it was difficult, to wake up. However, there were two good things that made my time enjoyable: the work and the the people. The work was challenging, but fulfilling, and I got to know people whose faces I will never forget. I found a spot to sleep where the sticks stopped poking me, the music seemed more enjoyable, and the air was no longer silent, for the sound of laughter filled it. MCC will always be a time I look back on fondly.
