TLC (Trail Lovin' + Cleanup) In Glacier National Park

What a week it was in Glacier for NRock's Field Crew 2! To start off the season, we spent four days working with crews to clean up the Apgar Lookout Trail, Forest & Fire Nature Trail, and the Southern Boundary Trail on the West side of Glacier. Work consisted of drain construction and clean outs, shrub-whacking with brush saws, and rebuilding and widening trails for horse riders and hikers alike for a nicer trail experience. We all learned a thing or two about proper trail technique.

It was truly an amazing opportunity to work within Glacier and hear the history and intricacies of the Park Service through our project partner Mark. On top of that, each day concluded with a cold plunge in Lake McDonald and a huckleberry ice cream cone. I can't think of anything better than that.

While we loved our time in Glacier, we are so excited to head out into the Bob Marshall Wilderness for our summer of immersion, horse packers, cross cuts and ranger stations. Don't forget about us, we'll write to you soon.

Happy trails!
