There exists a balance between agriculture and conservation; Three Bar Ranch in Moore, MT strikes that balance. The cool, clear water of the creek provides both much-needed water for cattle and life for one of the most diverse and productive ecosystems on the planet. Three Bar is a beautiful example of how rich a prairie ecosystem can be. Waking to the sounds of dozens of bird species, wading past fish, and staying vigilant for black bears are all clear indicators of how well cared for the land is. It's easy to forget that we are indeed on a ranch under the shade of a mountain top forest and in an emerald green valley full of wildflowers. Every day I work on that land serves as an inspiration for what can be everywhere. I am immensely grateful for the opportunity to learn conservation techniques in a setting that so wholeheartedly embraces it.
