Montana Conservation Corps arrives to help Matt, Maddie, and Eden with cabin restoration. Together, we removed old mortar, added new mortar, oiled the wood, and landscaped outside the cabin. Good views and vibes were aplenty! On the last night, our crew even got to sleep on the cabin floor instead of our tents, which was nice to be surrounded by four secure walls.
Our crew (Department of Geeker Excellence, the working name) continues to grow closer together. We had a night of expressing our artistic sides; playing music, singing, and reading our poetry, giving each other deeper insight into our souls. The next day, we wrote our crew contact agreeing to be more open, kind, and committed to growth to name a few.
This is just a brief insight into all that occurred during our stay. We will hold the memories made dearly and are excited for the many more that will fill these walls and this journal.
