First Leader Hitch

A crew leader stands smiling among a trail that they're cutting.

The first leader hitch was a success! We got everything done on the PIS and even some extra work our project partner asked of us. We built one large retaining wall with a few small retaining walls where the trail had washed out. Rocks are surprisingly very heavy! All together, we moved about twenty-five large rocks from multiple different parts of the trail. We estimate we moved at least two tons worth of rock for all the retaining walls. We even put in some drains and built a new entrance for the trail. We also brushed and sawed about three miles of trail.
