Trails in the Yaak

A crew member sprays a tree with a red paint spray can.

This hitch serves as a return to Troy and the Three Rivers Ranger Station. With more work in the Yak and no B sawyer in sight, it's time to pull out the Sandviks. It's always a fun time with these nifty tools. Whacking away to clear a trail up and gaining access to even more tree plots. The boys are having a grand ol’ time, even taking the time to saw through a couple of snags along the way.

And once a path has been cleared, break out the spray cans! With the plot accessible once more, it was time to split up and follow the flagging. Establishing a nice boundary line for the future work necessary to clear out necessary trees for a less flammable forest.
