Fencing Around

Two crew members erect a fence post as they stand inside a forest.

The Crazies treated us well! After a quick drive into the mountains, we began the start of our job. At the start, there was a lot of learning to be done which took time and patience. The first few mornings were colder than we had anticipated. We would wake up to find our shoelaces frozen solid, standing straight up pointing towards the sky. But did that dampen our spirits? Not a chance! We turned those frosty challenges into frozen fun. As rookies on a fencing hitch, we had to adapt and overcome. The tools in our hands were new and unfamiliar to most of us, and the spiky barbed wire showed no mercy towards our clothes, but we faced it head-on with a grin. Our resilience soared higher than the highest fence post, and our minds eagerly absorbed every new skill we were taught. On the drive back home to Bozeman, we couldn't help but notice all the fencing that lined the roads. We playfully critiqued every random fence we passed. It's truly amazing to think that our crew has now become fencing experts who have the confidence to build a fence any place and anywhere!
