Hornets and dirt bike trails

A crew poses with a large stump that they've cut out of the trail.

This hitch for crew 2 in Granite Creek Idaho, was the first hitch for myself and fellow crew member Zach. We were tasked with digging a new section of trail to re-route a current dirt bike trail where a section had washed out. The work proved to be challenging, between large rocks, stumps, roots, and swarms of hungry hornets. We managed to finish the re-route which was 1500-1600 feet long.

Overall, the hitch was very successful. We made the best of the work and enjoyed our time at camp (while evading hornets). We are looking forward to our next hitch, and the chance to apply what we learned these last 8 days to the next hitch!
