Field Program

Adaptive Mountain Bike Trails

Three people are clustered around a rock, working to move it. Two people on the back and the side are using rock bars to leverage against it, and the third person is using their gloved hands to pull it away.

The crew worked in Newcastle, Wyoming, and worked to widen Bureau of Land Management trails to accommodate adaptive bikes. This project allowed people with disabilities or limited mobility to be able to access the trail that previously was not wide enough for the adaptive bikes. The crew constructed and improved a mile and a half of this trail for not only people who use adaptive bikes, but the Newcastle and mountain biking community in general.
