Laryssa Rote| Development and Communications Associate

Laryssa's nonprofit career started in wildlife rehabilitation specializing in raptors. Her time there created a special appreciation for the interaction between people and the wild. Her main interest lies in sleuthing out what makes a person care for their environment and then getting them involved hands on and boots on the ground. After moving from Pennsylvania to Montana, she started dialing in her communications and development experience. She's written for Montana Audubon as well as Prickly Pear Land Trust and coordinated education programs such as Master Naturalist, Snow School, and the Youth Forest Monitoring Program with Montana Discovery Foundation. Most recently in her professional career, she has written $70k in grants, and raised $40k for the Mann Gulch 75th Memorial Tribute. In her spare time she photographs wildlife, partakes in the sport of falconry, and spends as much time as possible outside with her two dogs.
