Sydney King - Field Coordinator
Sydney spent most of her childhood climbing trees and generally being a goober in Southeastern MA. After high school, she bought a backpack and a one-way ticket and joined her first Conservation Corps in Flagstaff. She instantly fell in love with dirt, community, and romping around Western landscapes. After a few years of adventures, she found herself drawn back to the corps and joined Southwest Conservation Corps as a Crew Leader, staying from 2017-2020. Sydney then pivoted to outdoor education work for the next several years, working as an instructor for NOLS teaching backpacking, canyoneering, climbing, and general ridiculousness. After five years and lots of mountainscape travel across the Rockies, AK, New Zealand, and India, Sydney felt the whispers of the corps once again. She moved to Bozeman in the winter of 2026 to join the GY office of MCC as a Field Coordinator. Outside of work, Sydney can be found rock climbing or exploring the mountains on her splitboard.
