Our Past Projects
CD crews can be found trekking the Continental Divide Trail with crosscut saws in hand, or tearing out abandoned fence lines in the Missouri River Breaks National Monument. Crews get a taste of the backcountry and trail maintenance, but also dig deep into important wildlife management and landscape restoration projects.
This region tackles leading edge conservation issues including grizzly bear range expansion onto the plains, American bison reintroduction on the largest intact grasslands in North America, sage grouse protection, floodplain restoration in drought prone steppe habitat, and wildfire mitigation in vast interior forests.
