Reflections on Youth Leader Training

A youth leader strands in a clearing surrounded by trees, with snow capped mountains in the background. They are holding a chainsaw while wearing chaps and a helmet.

When I first started working for MCC I had no idea what to expect. However, after spending lots of time getting to know the people, the state of Montana, and learning about the wild adventures that I’m about to have. It has only made me more excited for this position. Not even a week before I started this position, I moved across the country all the way from Wisconsin. Throughout March, I have traveled to the state capital Helena, to Missoula, and to beautiful wild landscapes. I’ve developed leadership skills and attended a fantastic Summit. I never would have had such incredible opportunities with any other job. What makes this job worth it is the people. The people here care so deeply about you, and they invest lots of time into YOU. I’m so grateful for my experience thus far, and I can’t wait for the season to begin!!
