Emman Bibiano - Field Coordinator

Emman Bibiano - Field Coordinator

Born and raised in New Jersey, Emman didn't have a lot of chances to engage with the outdoors but always had a deep desire to do so. After studying Environmental Ethics at a small university in western New York, they were able to pursue opportunities among the northern Appalachians to feed that desire to the passion it has become today. A seasoned seasonal worker, they have worked in Alaska, Vermont, western New York, Utah, New Mexico, Idaho, and Montana. However, their very first conservation-related job was working three seasons at Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico, working with thousands of participants over the course of two summers and a fall season. There, they picked up chainsaw, trail, and backcountry skills that would go on to help them when they joined MCC as a crew member out of the Western Wildlands office in 2022. During their term, they spend the majority of their time with their field crew in the Payette National Forest, hiking through the Rockies and snackin' on huckleberry bushes along the way. After their fall season, they joined the Utah Conservation Corps for two years. Their first year was spent as an AmeriCorps member, but at the end of their term, they were hired on as staff. As a Field Coordinator with UCC, they had the opportunity to work with dozens of crews all over Northern Utah and Idaho, developing the conservation leaders of tomorrow. Now, as a Field Coordinator with MCC, they are eager to work with even more members to develop their passion for and knowledge of conservation.
