Darcy Smith - Field Coordinator
Darcy was born to Texas but knew she belonged somewhere bigger. After an eye-opening road trip to Missoula and Glacier in 2016, she was quick to trade her hill country for big sky country, leaving her degree in Asian Cultures and Languages from the University of Texas waiting. In 2018 Darcy began her MCC journey as a Field Crew Leader in Kalispell, spending the summer cruising the trails of Idaho Panhandle National Forest with chainsaw in hand. After spending some quality time in Blackfeet country, Darcy became determined to continue serving with MCC as the Piikani Lands Crew Leader in 2019, while also fulfilling the Senior Crew Leader role. Her journey has led her to Missoula, where she continues her commitment to ushering young adults on their journey connecting to the land as a staff member. You'll find Darcy hula hooping at concerts, in coffee shops, or hiding out in the backcountry.
